Nick Barstow is a musical director, arranger, composer and performer. He recently re-orchestrated the full score of ‘Rags’ 'for the show’s UK premiere, re-working the original score alongside the show’s lyricist Stephen Schwartz. Prior to that he was Musical Supervisor on Stiles and Drewe’s ‘Just So’ at the Barn Theatre in Cirencester, for which he has contributed all-new actor-musician orchestrations. Later this year his actor-musician production of ‘A Christmas Carol’, produced by Peter Brook Equity Ensemble award winners Antic Disposition, will run again in the historic and immersive Middle Temple Hall after a sell-out run in 2017.

As a performer and producer, Nick runs cabaret series ‘RE:Arrangement’ which originated at Brasserie Zedel in August 2018 and has since toured the UK with guest stars including Noel Sullivan, Caroline Sheen and Alice Fearn. It will appear as part of the Stages Floating Festival in October this year. In February 2019 he produced a charity single for The Samaritans featuring ‘Wicked’ leading ladies Alice Fearn and Sophie Evans. He featured as a judge alongside Gareth Malone in the final series of ‘The Choir: Gareth’s Best in Britain’.

Nick has worked extensively with the leading stars of the West-End in concert, arranging for and performing with Ramin Karimloo, Carrie Hope-Fletcher, Kerry Ellis, Alice Fearn, Gina Beck, Kelly Mathieson, Noel Sullivan and others. His work as arranger and orchestrator has been performed around the world and features on numberous albums.

Nick is co-founder and MD of successful vocal group AfterParty. The group have performed at the St James Theatre, Aldwych Theatre, Arts Theatre, Dominion Theatre, The View From The Shard and King’s Place as well as for numerous high profile events nationwide including the Covent Garden Christmas Lights Switch On 2015 and Sport Relief 2016. Their debut album Hotel Lobby was released in September 2016.
